I'd welcome the opportunity to work with you on a personalized, unique custom  portrait piece.  Here are the initial guidelines I typically follow:

You and I would begin discussions of the important aspect of the commission portait, such as the personality, purpose, size, setting desired for the piece and where you would like the final piece to be hung.  This process can be as formal or informal as you feel comfortable with.

We would schedule a time to sit for photos. I prefer to work from photographs I have taken, special arrangements can be made with photos you provide.  I then return to my studio to finish the piece from the photo references.

The setting for the piece can be indoors or outdoors, at your house, place of business, or another favorite/meaningful location.  Dress can be as informal or as formal as you desire, however I may have special considerations due to the lighting, color scheme, or ambiance of the piece.

Dependent on my schedule I can generally have finished work back to you within 30-45 days once I begin painting.  At the most....plan two to four months from start to finish, depending on size and complexity.  Larger involved pieces may require a bit longer. 

A deposit of 60% will be due at the signing of my commission contract before I begin your personalized commission portrait piece.  The remaining balance (40%) will be due upon the completion and delivery of the piece.

Pricing - watercolor or graphite price includes first person.
